Hello everyone,

Recently, I have been playing around with the top speed3 racing game. I was wondering, would anyone know how to change the sound of the cars of which are in the game by default? I'm trying to make my game very personal and more like stock car racing, so I'd love to change the sound of the cars.

Also, is it possible to change the speeds of the cars already in the game? I find that if you are playing alone, the game can be quite predictable.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have not played this game in years. However, I do believe that under your default programs folder, you should find the top speed 3 folder, which has a sound folder. If you just name the sounds you want to put in the exact names of the sounds you intend to replace, you should probably be good. If they haven't changed everything around, of course.

As for the cars and speeds, most of the cars in the game have different attributes and varying degrees of speed depending on the vehicle that you choose for yourself. For example, a bus is going to go much slower than a race car, even if both have shifted to like, gear 12. Please note, there is probably no such thing as a gear 12, I am making an example here. Try playing with a motor cycle some day shifted to the highest gear and see how you like that!

I know what you're saying about the sounds folder, but I'm only allowed to change the sound of what the car is called in the menu, from what I can see. I'm trying to take the built-in sounds and put in my new ones.

Also, I'd like to change the speeds of, let's say the motorcycle so it can actually go as quick as other cars/trucks.

Basically, I'm trying to make the game a little less predictable.

No, there isn't a way you can do anything like that. The only one you can change is the street racer

I'd sure like it if they had a version for the mac. Lol I have Audio Sjpeed for the mac, a space racing game. But I can never even complete a single level. I remember Top Speed for the PC from about 7 years ago or so.

Yeah, it's a pretty fun game. I have made my own race tracks, much like nascar tracks, or what I imagine they're like, as well as some custom cars.

In addition to this, I have selected sound bytes from different races so instead of the game telling you, 5 laps to go, I have an actual announcer for all of the laps. I have definitely wasted a lot of time in this game. I would like to somehow create a nascar game for the blind with pitstops and everything, but I wouldn't even know where to begin.
